About CreditPayCalc.com
Our Mission
CreditPayCalc was built for the 46% of American adults who carry credit card debt month to month. The average household with credit card debt owes $7,951 (Federal Reserve, 2026), and with average APRs above 22%, the math of paying it off is complex and intimidating.
We provide free, privacy-first calculators that run entirely in your browser. No signups, no data collection, no tracking. Enter your numbers, see your payoff plan, and leave—your data never leaves your device.
Why Trust Our Calculations
Our calculators use daily compound interest math—the exact method credit card issuers use to calculate interest. Most spreadsheets and simpler calculators use monthly compounding, which overestimates payoff time by 2-5%. We prioritize accuracy over simplicity.
All calculators are reviewed against the CFPB's guidelines for credit card disclosure accuracy.
Who We Are
CreditPayCalc is an independent financial education project. We are not a lender, a credit repair company, or a debt settlement service. We don't sell leads, we don't have affiliate partnerships with card issuers, and we don't accept paid placements.
Our funding comes from non-intrusive, relevant advertising (after our site is reviewed and approved by Google AdSense). We never let advertising influence our calculator logic or content recommendations.
Editorial Standards
All guides and calculators are written and maintained by the CreditPayCalc editorial team. We follow a transparent standard:
- Source-based: Every statistic and legal reference links to its primary source — CFPB, the Federal Reserve, state Attorney General offices, and the FTC.
- Calculator-accurate: All payoff math uses daily compounding; the logic is documented and reproducible.
- Reviewed: Guides are revisited whenever laws or issuer terms change, and each page carries a last-updated date.
- Independent: No advertiser, lender, or card issuer can edit our content or calculator logic.
